My friends and I had this talk on sharing is caring. It's about my friend's second daughter on her remarks that goes more or less like this "Ummi, kakak tak sharing is caring!". I think she do understand on the concept caring it's just that sometimes people are reluctant to share.
Well, I had this incident.
I wanted to look at some format on writing a guideline. Well, sort of "guideline to write guideline" and since I don't have much time looking for it (now we're more to "googling/google") as I have to search for material to write, I did ask someone to share with me the format. Well, I guess it's too much to ask a format from someone, and that someone decline!
Of course, I do feel that it's not wrong to share format. Format is something that is general.
Along the way, I do feel that sometimes, people are reluctant to share whatever they have been doing. Some sort of a "copyright" to them. Personally, I think this sort of attitude is one of the factor contributing to the "collapse of an empire". You know things but reluctant to share on confidentiality basis (when you could just edit the confidential part) but actually when you share, you might get a feedback with the person whom you share.
Well anyway, I've faced this issue since my first year in university and I know that the issue will just come knocking on my door every now and then. It's just that being me, I can't understand why. Alhamdulillah, all this while, my friends especially those in MKD are willing to share with each other and this scenario really helps in my daily tasks. Perhaps, one day, people will be able to have the sharing attitude, without compromising on confidentiality issues, and help to strengthen the public service.
